Delivery status and their meanings
1. Message in queue - instaReach server has accepted the message and it is in queue before being submitted to the carrier.
2. Submitted to carrier - Message has been submitted to the Carrier's Short Message Service Center and is awaiting the delivery status confirmation from the Carrier
3. Delivered - Message has been delivered to the destination number
4. Expired – The system automatically retries sending messages until they are delivered. However after repeated retries and an extended period of time, the messages validity period expires. This happens when the destination mobile is either switched off or out of coverage area.
5. Undelivered – The message was not delivered. This is when the Carrier encounters one of the following:
- Inactive, unidentified and untraceable mobile number
- When mobile handset memory or inbox full
- Lack of credit balance to receive text messages
6. Rejected – The message was rejected at the SMSC of the Carrier. This happens when the destination network is not available or blocked to the Carrier
1. Businesses can capture warm leads through Short or Long code.
Example: A real estate business promotes his product offering and wants to capture warm leads. He can use keyword and advertise the same. If a party is interested then they would SMS a keyword, let’s say “rent” to 445566. The real estate business receives this warm leads and can now contact this prospect..
2. Business can also use API to capture responses from the prospect directly.
Example: A Direct marketing company allows users to book their products through SMS. When the user sends the text message in the specified format, it is then sent to the company's Server through our "URL push". The URL push includes 1. The sender’s mobile number, 2. The text message and 3. The date/time stamp. Business can also specify a customized response, either static or dynamic, ensuring that the user is given an acknowledgement of his request
